Garudasana, The Eagle Pose, can be easily done sitting down. It improves mental focus, memory and attention, plus it helps maintaining the flexibility of shoulders and knees.

Senior Yoga classes have modified versions of all physical techniques, to address the needs of older people, and of those who have a limited ability of movement due to various injuries. Our students can choose to do the full or modified version of each pose. The classes aim to improve range of motion, coordination and balance, along with mental focus and emotional stability. We also teach breathing techniques to improve overall vitality and energy. Moreover, our students learn advanced meditation techniques, that give them access to spiritual realities, and elevates their perspective of life.

We invite you to practice Yoga following our Recorded Senior Yoga classes.

Laughing Keeps Us Young

Laughing is healing, regenerating, it opens our heart and teaches us humbleness. Laughing is so important, that in yoga there are special poses which amplify the sense of humor.

“After I practiced yoga for a while I noticed I feel more flexible, I have a better sense of balance and less hip and legs pain. I enjoy the social aspects of being together in a relaxing and beneficial activity. If I miss the yoga class for a couple of days, I can really tell in my body, because I have more stiffness and sore muscles. ”

In the Romanian countryside there are many old and abandoned cottages. They are a constant reminder that time flows for all of us, and that we need to strive to live a meaningful life. These special places invite you to dreaming and meditation. Their charm is unmistakable and speaks directly to your soul.

Katichakrasana, The Lumbar Twist Pose

This yoga pose can be performed both standing or sitting. It tones the arms, shoulders and core. It is energizing and creates inner balance.

“You need to come to the yoga class for 6-7 times to start feeling the benefits. My neck is a lot looser after yoga. For me, it eliminates neck pain and improves my posture. I have 2 knees replacements, and yoga keeps the knees flexible. Bonding with the other participants is very important, as a spiritual connection. In the class, the mind will take a break and you can leave your worries at the door. ”
